Curtis Raines, Sr. Foundation to hold groundbreaking ceremony and dedication for new Macon health clinic

New clinic will provide low cost healthcare to residents of Macon and Middle Georgia

MACON, GA – The Curtis Raines, Sr. Foundation will break ground on renovations for their new low-cost healthcare clinic on Saturday, May 14th at 3:00 PM. The foundation was established in February 2015 to continue the work of well-known Macon pastor, Rev. Curtis Raines, Sr. The mission of the foundation is to improve the lives and health of families and communities in Middle Georgia.

“The new clinic will allow us to provide convenient and low-cost healthcare access close to home,” said foundation president, Curtis Raines, Jr. “We plan to use this space to offer health screenings, dental work, immunizations, back-to-school check ups, and more.”

“We are excited to be continuing the legacy of my husband, Rev. Curtis Raines, Sr.,” said foundation CEO, Barbara Raines. “By improving access to healthcare in Middle Georgia, we are helping our community members live longer, happier lives, and go on to build strong families and inspire new generations.”

Speakers at the groundbreaking event will include foundation president, Curtis Raines, Jr., Rev. Bryant Raines of the New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Macon, and Ronnie Rollins CEO of Community Health Services of Georgia.

The new clinic building was formerly the Bel Arbor nursing home. The foundation plans to complete renovations and officially open the new clinic to the public in January 2017.
